Meghan Markle has put on a brave face while stepping out in public for the first time since her and Prince Harry’s emotional documentary aired on ITV.

The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday to support young leaders across the globe, by attending the Opening Ceremony of the One Young World Sumit.
The mum-of-one looked chic in a purple midi dress with long sleeves by Aritzia, and wearing her hair in a bouncy blowout, the Duchess looked like she had not a care in the world.
Meghan previously donned the stunning purple number while visiting Birkenhead last year when she was pregnant with her son, Archie Harrison, pairing the dress with a red jacket.
One Young World Summit brings together 2000 young people from 190 countries across the world who are considered ‘young leaders’. One Young World helps encourage the next generation to be responsible and effective leaders and is a cause the former Suits actress has been passionate about for years.
Meghan first became one of the One Young World counsellors in 2014, attending her first summit in Dublin of that same year.
Starring as Rachel Zane on Suits at the time, the now-mother-of-one spoke of the importance of women’s rights and the role men play in achieving equality.
While she and the Duke of Sussex have their own foundation (Sussex Royal), sources told Vanity Fair that Meghan was reluctant to relinquish her ties with the organization entirely when she married into the Royal family.
“It was very difficult for Meghan to close the chapter on her previous passions, so she’s been so excited to be able to join One Young World again this year in London. Inspiring young people is so important to her and she’s been able to tie her Vice-Presidency of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust into a really impactful program with One Young World, a charity that has been dear to her heart for more than five years,” a friend told the publication.”
This event marks the first time Meghan has been seen publicly since revealing she has been struggling with the onslaught of negative press from British tabloids, on ITV’s royal eye-opening documentary.
In an emotional clip from the ITV documentary about the royal tour of Africa, the Duchess of Sussex had the following heartbreaking confession:
“Look, any woman especially when they are pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn – you know… And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed.”
Meghan added: “And, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
Tom Bradby went on to quiz Meghan further, to which she replied: “And the answer is, would it be fair to say, not really OK, as in it’s really been a struggle?”, to which the Duchess said, “Yes”.
