Amazing new details have come to light about Prince William and Duchess Kate’s pregnancy and the upcoming birth of their historic twins.
Well-place palace insiders tell New Idea that the royal parents have already picked out names for their newborn babies – believed to be a boy and a girl – and are in the process of interviewing for another nanny to help with their young brood.
Wills and Kate, both 35, are also discussing plans to make even more renovations to Kensington Palace to allow for the babies, who will be the first twins born in the royal family in more than 700 years.
But in the most surprising twist to date, sources tell New Idea that the duchess is already five months along – two months more than what was previously believed – meaning that we will meet their double-bundle of joy early in the New Year.
‘Wills and Kate have certainly been busy making arrangements for not just one, but two royal babies,’ the insider tells New Idea. ‘Kate is well and truly in organising mode, and wants to be on top of everything before the babies arrive.’
Sources tell New Idea that the duchess’ struggles with hyperemesis gravidarum – extreme morning sickness – have been worse than with her earlier pregnancies. Medical experts say the debilitating condition is a lot more prevalent in mums expecting twins – leading some to suggest that Kate could be suffering from the effects from the illness even more with this pregnancy.
A friend of Kate’s says, ‘She’s feeling a lot more poorly than she did with George and Charlotte, and she’s convinced it’s because she’s expecting twins. It’s been a very tough pregnancy for her so far, she’s just hoping she feels better soon.’
While Kate is expected to make her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy on October 10, sources close to the duchess say she won’t be pushing herself in the coming months.
It is believed Kate will cut back on royal duties in the first year after the twins are born, now that the pressure has been taken off her after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s triumphant appearance at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
