The Queen was reportedly extremely sympathetic to Meghan Markle after a spout of negative press, however, a body language expert has since come out and said that the Queen is showing new admiration for Kate Middleton after a month of scandals for the Royal Family.
In new photos showing Queen Elizabeth II riding in a car with the Duchess of Cambridge on their way to Crathie Kirk – a church in Balmoral – body language expert Judi James said that the monarchs body language was relaxed and happy.
In one shot, the Queen is even seen laughing and joking with her granddaughter-in-law, in a rare moment of candour.

Ms James told The Sun’s Fabulous Digital: “Given the criticism and rumoured scandals swirling around some of the other members of her family, it’s probably no surprise the Queen’s body language with Kate here suggests a rather relaxed looking sense of pride and pleasure.”
Ms James continued: “Kate’s beaming smile with rounded cheeks and a symmetric display of her upper teeth suggests she is equally happy in the Queen’s company.
“Although her subtle, flat-palmed wave hints she’s keen to not upstage her grandmother-in-law.”
While the Queena and Kate put on a good show, Her Majesty’s son Prince Andrew has recently fleed Balmoral with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The timing of the annual vacation could not have been worse. Amid Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement in the lurid activities of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as well as the Duchess of York’s questionable business dealings with a Hong Kong businessman, New Idea has learnt exclusively that the Queen called an emergency royal summit.
“The Queen must have thought she had left scandals involving Andy and Fergie way in the past, but they have both let her down again,” says royal commentator Phil Dampier. “History is repeating itself.”
Despite putting on a united front for assembled cameras, when the news broke about Andrew’s former friend’s suicide in a Manhattan prison, the royal family began to close ranks.
“The Queen may have been smiling in the car with Andrew at church on Sunday morning but behind the scenes she will be deeply troubled,” adds Dampier. “She will hope this goes away but it’s the last thing she needs at 93.”
