Kate Middleton may have resigned herself to a life in the public eye, but that doesn’t mean she wants her three children – Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one – under the same scrutiny.
Now, new reports have surfaced saying that Kate Middleton was extremely uncomfortable when she was made to confront a wall of photographers after the birth of Princess Charlotte, and even feared to pose with Prince William and her only daughter on the steps of Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital.

The Duchess of Cambridge – who will one day be the Queen alongside the Duke of Cambridge – had to pose on the steps of Lindo Wingo in a dress and a full face of makeup just four hours after giving birth.
Although most of the photos show a smiling Kate, newly surfaced footage shows the mother-of-three fussing over a newborn Charlotte, fearing the little Princess would be affected by the cold weather.
According to a 2015 Daily Telegraph report, Kate Middleton began fearing for her baby girl telling William she might be “cold”.
According to Express.co.uk, the footage then shows William reassuring his wife saying, “No, she’s fine, she’s good” before a clearly agitated Kate bluntly replies: “Let’s take her inside.”
Standing on the steps of the hospital following the birth of their child is a tradition for the future King or Queen, but that doesn’t make the experience any less strange.
In a 2013 interview, heir to the throne and father of three Prince William told CNN that he was in “shock” when he stood on the steps of Lindo Wing with Prince George.
“I think more shock was the feeling I felt, but I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine, about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him.
“As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything.
“It’s nice that people want to see George.”
