His brother Prince Harry might be known as the more rebellious one, but it turns out that Prince William planned to get a huge tattoo on his back.
Yep, one sailor from HMS Iron Duke, in which William was serving in the Caribbean revealed that the prince wanted to get a large tattoo on his back just like David Beckham’s.
The former footballer famously has a large guardian angel on his back.
“Lots of the guys on board sport tattoos [and] it was obvious William was fascinated,” he told The Sun.
“He asked how painful it was and wanted to know what they thought of his idea for a tattoo across his shoulders.
“We didn’t think he was serious – but he said he was keen to get a large tattoo like the one David Beckham has.”
In the end, William never got the tattoo and it was all to do with his then girlfriend Kate Middleton.
“He said the only thing stopping him was his girlfriend,” added the source.
Of course, we don’t think that his grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, would have been too happy about the idea either!
