Method

Step 1

Toast the rye until crisp.

Step 2

Cut two wedges from the lime for garnish.

Step 3

Mix cream cheese with chopped capers and a little zest and a squeeze of juice. Spread generously over the toast.

Step 4

Top with slices of smoked salmon.

Step 5

Dice the avocado into neat cubes and toss gently with a little olive oil, lime juice and a pinch of salt.

Step 6

Scatter the diced avocado over the salmon.

Step 7

Finish with dill and cracked black pepper.
