Aimee Connor, known as Aims and the queen of no food wastage on social media, has shared a special leftovers recipe she’s developed for New Idea readers.
Her motto is simple – “We Don’t Waste Anything”, and she encourages millions of followers to do the same.
So when some might be stuck my mismatched leftovers, such as chips, fruit and pasta, she sees possibilities.
Enter the roast chicken pizza pockets, which the mother-of-four revealed came up purely through experimentation.
“This was one of my accidental recipes that completely came out of the blue, I had some leftover ham, found some pineapple in the fridge I used for a pizza a few days before and away I went,” she exclusively tells New Idea.
“This was totally inspired by those frozen pizza pockets I use to eat as a kid, but I fear I have made them even better!”
True to her beloved cooking style, this dough only has three ingredients. If it’s too complicated, she says she wouldn’t consider making it again.
And with this recipe, the content creator said the possibilities are endless.
“This recipe is so versatile also as you can fill it with pretty much any leftover you like! Roast chicken… done, sausages, onion and gravy… yum!”

Method
DOUGH: Combine and knead the three ingredients with your hands. Make into a dough and roll out flat (use extra flour if too sticky).
FILLING: Cut into squares and fill with chicken filling. Use water to stick down edges to make a round ball.
Once you have the ball, use pastry brush and glaze with melted butter. Top with sesame seeds. Air fry at 180°C 15 minutes, turn over at the 5-minute mark for 5 minutes, then back over for another 5 minutes. Optional: Take them out and add more butter.
