The lawyer who represented Chris Dawson during his court appearance on Dec. 6 made a new claim as he addressed media after his client was charged with murder.

Chris Dawson – the former husband of Lynette Dawson who vanished in 1982 – was extradited from Queensland to NSW earlier in the day before being formally charged in connection with her disappearance.

Chris Dawson strenuously denies the allegations against him and his lawyer, Greg Walsh, indicated he would plead “not guilty” to the charge.
And outside court Mr Walsh told assembled media there was evidence Lynette was “observed by a number of people” after her disappearance.

Mr Walsh said there was also evidence of “two very important bank card transactions (made) two or three weeks after her disappearance”.
The twist comes hours after reports emerged of a possible “sighting” of Lynette Dawson on an episode of Antiques Roadshow that aired in Australia in 2010.
Chris Dawson is said to have spotted the resemblance to his wife and called it “uncanny”.
Dawson’s lawyer did not immediately apply for bail during the Dec. 6 court hearing.
The matter was adjourned to Friday Dec. 14.
