Before the clues officially dropped, it had been reported Robert's celebrity friends were reportedly trying to land a spot in the upcoming season 10... an insider spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle revealing that management companies are "falling over themselves" to sign their talent up to the reality show.
"You know a show has a good reputation when you answer calls from well-known talent in the UK and the USA," the insider told Yahoo Lifestyle.
"Having Robert host with Julia opened a lot of doors for us when casting the 2024 series."
"We get interest from every inch of the sporting world. Comedians love to do the show because their experience gives them material for 12 months.
"Those '80s and '90s stars that are no longer getting consistent work - they are usually pretty keen too. So we obviously get chatting with those opportunities."
The insider revealed that "those three categories have naturally filled out."
"Australia has something to look forward to come March 24th," they said.
The Irwins are friends with many A-list celebrities, Robert specifically has made many strong connections in Hollywood in recent years.
He has made regular appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, worked alongside Billie Eilish and has also interviewed major names such as Robert Downey Jr.
The Hemsworths and Mellisa Joan Hart are also within the Irwins' circle.
“The Irwins have more than a fair share of A-list celebrities in their circle including the Hemsworths and Melissa Joan Hart, who is the most rumoured contestant this year,” a production insider shared with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“There are some celebs we ask every year and maybe this year stars like Melissa or Jean-Claude Van Damme will finally say yes. It’s our year to catch a few of those white whales.”
While we can not expect all of Robert's A-list celebrities to appear on this season of I'm A Celeb, the source assured Yahoo Lifestyle that Robert has been talking to some "seriously famous names" to join the show.
“Julia is telling everyone that Robert is like a breath of fresh air and even she will admit she has been outdone with celebrity names being dropped on set,” the insider said.
“The network might get some mates rates with Robert’s friends but he won’t be playing favourites. He’d love to put his friends in unimaginable challenges.”
No celebrities have been confirmed to join the reality show as of yet, but with the premier fast approaching, we expect some more clues to be dropped very soon!
This marks Roberts's first hosting job and makes him the youngest top talent on local TV at just 20 years old.
Rob has revealed that he is very excited about his new television gig... almost as excited as we are to see him in the South African jungle.
"[This] is something I've never done before but I have been to the set before, I have been to the jungle and loved it," Rob shared on NOVA's flagship breakfast program Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie in November 2023.
"And I remember when I was probably like 10 years old when I went over and saw it [the jungle set], and I thought, you know watching Julia up there and Chris, I thought one day I want to host that and now I'm doing it, it's kind of weird."
Stay tuned for more updates as the highly anticipated season approaches.
