The couple, who met on the 2022 season of the wholesome dating show, announced the news on March 31.

Harry popped the question on March 14 at Mitchelton Winery in Nagambie, Victoria.

He told our sister publication Woman’s Day that he prepared a cover story so he wouldn’t ruin the surprise.

He made it seem like he was meant to meet with a friend for lunch, and had her call and cancel at the last minute.

For Tess, she said she was “none the wiser” when Harry took her down to the river and got down on one knee.

“I think I said yes before he’d even asked the question,” she gushed.

“He went down on one knee and popped out this ring that was sitting in a little cowboy hat – that was the ring box. So cute, and so Harry, if you know him!

“The ring was gorgeous and I was so caught up in that moment that I was so surprised when our friend, who I thought wasn’t there, popped out from behind a tree and she’d recorded the whole thing.”

She gushed that he knew she’d love a vintage ring, so contacted one of the jewellery pages she liked, and put a deposit down.

He even went as far as telling her that it had sold out to keep everything a complete surprise!

As for where they plan to tie the knot?

“I’d be happy in the cow paddock with a barbecue,” Harry said. “A couple of eskies, that’s my dream.”

Love conquers all

During their journey on the show, Tess was living in Queensland and finishing her psychology degree.

While they chose to make it work, at the beginning, long distance became extremely difficult, and Harry even moved to Queensland while she studied.

“I still call her up every day, call her up on the tractor or something. We do what we can, and then we catch up on the weekends when we can,” he said during the 2022 reunion.

However, the couple now call Victoria home.

“I never saw myself living in the country, but now I can’t imagine anything different,” Tess told Woman’s Day after their whirlwind engagement.
