Hamish wrote: “We lost one of the greats on Friday. My beautiful, hilarious, sassy grandma Moosie.
“She was full of zest, wildly unique, the generator of millions of laughs in our family, and well known to those who listened to our radio show back in the day.
He continued: “She found an entertainment career late in life in our show, and it was so special to have her play on air with us (and always have the final zinger). I loved that I got to have that with her, and she had a ball doing it, some of the lanyards from our events still hang in her house near the back door.
“She made such a great impact on a lot of people’s lives, we were extremely lucky to have her for so long.”
Hamish’s wife, Zoe Foster Blake, added: “She had enough zim and fire and charisma and cheek for all of us.
“I’m very grateful for Moosie’s zingy influence in my life, and children’s genes, and for the immense gift of her grandson, and I’m so sorry for betraying her after she made me promise I would NOT publish a book about a fart.”
A number of well-known people sent their condolences to the couple, including Megan Gale.
“So sorry to hear that Ham. She was a cracker #RIPMoosie,” she wrote.
