Congratulations are in order for Married At First Sight couple Jules Robinson, 42, and Cam Merchant, 40, who have welcomed their second child.
The besotted parents took to Instagram to announce the safe arrival of their little one.
“Carter James Merchant ❤️. You are just perfection. We have a beautiful healthy boy!! 23/7/24,” Jules began in a post shared on July 25, 2024.
“Seeing our Oliver Chase shake with excitement becoming the big brother and meeting Baby Carter ( as he calls him) #BigCub @babycubsandladylumps was one of the best moments E V E R.
“@cammerchant thank you for holding my hand through what felt like a life time but magic all at the same time. Family of four now 😍🥺❤️ I love you.”
Jules then continued by explaining the meaning behind Carter’s name.
“Carter holds spiritual significance by embodying leadership, wisdom, responsibility, and creativity, representing service, ideals, and community spirit,” she penned.
“Individuals named Carter are commonly seen as hardworking, loyal, disciplined, and protective, valuing security and nurturing close relationships.”
She further revealed that his middle name, James, means “Gift from God” and is “also one of Cams ( many 😂) middle names.”
James is also Jules’ fathers middle names, Cam’s grandfathers name, and Jules’ “oldest dear friend” who tragically passed.
Jules then finished the post by thanking those at the hospital who helped deliver baby Carter.
“Huge appreciation to all the midwives at Northern Beaches Hospital, your care, empathy, knowledge, sincerity and support is something we are so grateful for.. thank you for all you do ❤️❤️,” she wrote.
Jules and Cam first announced they were expecting their second baby in February this year.
Sharing a video with their first child, three-year-old Ollie, who was touching the MAFS star’s burgeoning bump, the proud parents wrote: “When 3 becomes 4 🥰.
“We both can only imagine our hearts capacity to love will just keep on expanding…
“So excited to Announce we have a new addition to the family joining us in July !”
Accompanying the exciting news was the confession that Jules and Cam had been trying for a baby since Ollie was one year old.
Cam and Jules first met on season six of Married At First Sight.
Their time in the experiment ended with Cam asking Jules to marry him… for real. A year later, in November 2019, the reality TV couple legally tied the knot.
From there, their story kept blossoming. In September 2020, Jules and Cam welcomed their first son, Oliver Chase Merchant.
