“So many women live not knowing they have endometriosis,” the Love Island host wrote on a video of her wearing an oxygen mask in hospital.

In the video she also appeared to be wearing a blue hospital gown while a medic in surgical gear told her they had “found” some endometriosis.

“If you have annoying cycles. You should ask your dr,” the star added to her video.

Sophie added a note to Monash IVF saying “you are bloody legends”.

Endometriosis is present when the tissue that is similar to the lining of the uterus occurs outside this layer and causes pain and/or infertility.

Sophie isn’t the only Australian star to have been affected by the condition.

Earlier this year, Emma Watkins (a.k.a the yellow Wiggle) opened up about her harrowing battle with endometriosis which forced her to bow out of the group’s Australian tour and undergo surgery.

Speaking with Australian Story, Watkins revealed how she felt “really tired and run down” as well as bleeding, nausea and cramping before finally collapsing one day while in the recording studio.

“She was just absolutely in agony and she couldn’t get up and she didn’t know why,” estranged husband and bandmate Lachlan Gillespie recalled.

“She just had such strong cramps and couldn’t move. So that was really frightening.”
