Prince William opened the doors of Kensington Palace on Tuesday for the recipients of the Diana Awards.

A special group of 20 young people from all corners of the globe – Canada, Malaysia, Nepal, Tanzania and more – were celebrated for their achievements as leaders, visionaries, and role models over morning tea.

“The Diana Award is a continuation of Princess Diana’s legacy and her belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better,” The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge explained of the touching award via their Instagram page.

The Award recipients, who are between the ages of 12 and 25, “will have access to a two-year development programme which will look to enhance leadership, community development, social entrepreneurship and technology.”
