‘Last week, I was chugging nearly 4 coffees every day,’ Chezzi – who is mum to two daughter, daughters Sailor and Scout – said.

She added that she had also been ‘sleeping terribly’.

‘Relying on chocolate licorice to get me through tough days.. I felt gross. I had no energy. I needed to make some changes. So I picked a date and committed,’ the mum continued.

‘Yesterday, was that date,’ Chezzi wrote on Tuesday. ‘And today I’m just trying to be gentle in myself. Life gets hard. We get busy. We revert back to our old habits.

‘It takes courage to fight those old habits. It takes strength and determination to power on when things are hard..’

Chezzi went on to say she has seen ‘many people down and out lately, battling to survive’.

‘I am so honoured and so impressed by the resilience I’ve witnessed but more than that, I’m in total awe of everyone I’ve met so far doing it tough,’ she went on.

‘And not for one second do I feel my journey compares with theirs at all, most of the people I’ve met lately are surviving conditions I don’t think I could ever manage. They’re silent heroes.’

Chezzi husband and Family Feud host Grant has been candid about his own health struggles in the past.

After being awarded a Gold Logie earlier this year he opened up about his struggle with prescription drugs after suffering a near-fatal crash in 2008.

Speaking to Confidential, the 40-year-old host revealed he didn’t give a ‘s***t’ if he ‘lived or died.’

‘It was a time where I didn’t really give a s**t whether I lived or died,’ Grant said. ‘I felt like I had nothing to live for.’

Grant has admitted that it was Cheryl and his family who helped him out of his ‘dark period.’

‘I mentally wasn’t well. I was on pain medication for a long time and I probably wasn’t aware  of the effects of that,’ he said.
