TV Blackbox has revealed that a winner on Grant’s new game show Celebrity Name Game was actually an employee at the network.

According to the website, “One of the contestants who appeared on the premiere episode of the game show was a channel 10 employee as recently as November.”

Blackbox‘s Robert McKnight, a former Channel 10 employee wrote, “Andrew Logue worked in 10’s Pyrmont headquarters on Studio 10 and The Living Room for approximately 4 years before he left the network in November 2018.

“Celebrity Name Game is shot in the same building and the casting of Logue contravenes the terms and conditions set out by the network itself.”

In the premiere episode, Logue walked away with $10,000 after he was given clues to questions from The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson and comedian Tommy Little.

According to Logue himself, he told the game show’s casting directors of his employment at the network, but was told it “wasn’t an issue.”

There is no suggestion any rules have been broken, but it’s not a great look for the show, given than similar programs regularly vet any contestants with ties to the host network.
