Brad Pitt was so ‘uncomfortable with all the attention’ after his breakout role in the 1991 cult classic Thelma and Louise, and then Interview With The Vampire three years later, that he turned to drugs to cope.

‘I spent most of the ’90s hiding out and smoking pot,’ he said in an interview with New York Times, and added that he also tried LSD.
By the end of the 90s, Brad said he ‘got to a place where I was aware that I was imprisoning myself.’
At the time he began seeing Jennifer Aniston, who he married in 2000.
While he split with America’s sweetheart in 2005 to make his scandalous romance with Angelina Jolie official, it appears it was Jen who gave him the confidence to ditch the drugs and be more comfortable in the public eye.
‘Now I go out and live life, and generally people are pretty cool,’ he admitted.
