The build-up to their on-screen showdown has had us on the edge of our seats.
And from what we’ve seen, Alex Nation dominates her confrontation with ex, Richie Strahan on Bachelor In Paradise.
According to the single mum, she had a little help to get her through her first face-to-face talk with Richie since the 2016 Bachelor and his winner split.
Opening up to The Project’s panel, Alex recalled the moments before she confronted Richie over some misconceptions surrounding their breakup.
“I remember Jimmy (James Trethewie) gives me a drink, and then he gives me another drink, and he’s like you’ve just got to Dutch courage and go and do it.”
Alex continued: “So I beeline for him [Richie], and you see everyone freak out. Producers, and the camera man. I was tipsy, I wasn’t drunk, I had a little bit of Dutch courage – needed!”
Fans have seen flashes of their big island blow up, but so far, Richie is soaking up Paradise with other Bachie franchise rejects, sans Alex.
But that all changes on Wednesday night when she makes her reality TV return.
On Tuesday, she hinted that viewers will get to see the real man behind The Bachelor fantasy.
“I fell in love with “Bachelor Richie” and then coming into “Richie reality”, I felt like it was a little bit different,” Alex told NovaFM’s Fitzy & Wippa.
“Almost our entire relationship was long distance [with Alex based in Melbourne and Richie in Perth] and I just never bloody saw him!”
She added that the circumstances surrounding their split were deeply personal, and that all will be revealed on BIP.
