Prince William and Kate Middleton have removed most of the photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from the Royal Foundation website following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s split from the foundation in June 2018.

The charity officially changed its name from the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in August.

Meghan and Harry – who share son Archie together – have since set up their own Sussex Royal organisation.

The Royal Foundation website mainly features images of Prince William and Kate Middleton on its homepage and the new name: the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

While the edited website only includes profiles of Prince William and Kate Middleton, some photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain, including their work with the Endeavour Fund Awards and Meghan’s Together Cookbook.

Their five main areas of work appear to be mental health, early years, wildlife conservation, young people and the armed forces community.

On the other hand, The Sussex Royal organisation is expected to have a more global outreach, linked to Africa and the US, and a commitment to female empowerment, according to 7news.

The split sparked rumours of a rift between the Cambridges and Sussexes (who were once dubbed the Fab Four).

Kensington Palace released a statement confirming the news in June.

“The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has today announced the conclusions of a review into its structure, and how it will best support Their Royal Highnesses with future charitable activity,” the statement said. “Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation.”

“The statement also revealed that while the royal foursome will not work together within the charity that was founded by the two royal brothers and Kate Middleton, they plan to “work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together.”

The statement also discussed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s future charitable efforts.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wish to build on The Foundation’s past successes, continuing programs such as ‘Heads Up,’ the new mental health campaign delivered in partnership with the FA, ‘United for Wildlife,’ which runs a global taskforce tackling the illegal wildlife trade, and ‘Mentally Healthy Schools,’ which supports teachers and staff improve child mental health. They are also developing new initiatives on the environment and support for children and families which The Foundation expects to announce in the coming year.”
