Paul Hogan’s heartbreak: Linda moves to Morocco

The actor has been left devastated!

As Linda Kozlowski prepares to leave the US for good, poor Paul Hogan has been left reeling.

The Crocodile Dundee star cannot believe his ex-wife is fleeing the country.

Linda and her new man, Moulay Hafid Baba, have decided to set up home together in his native country, Morocco.

‘Paul is devastated that Linda has sold her home and cut ties with America, and is moving so far away,’ says a source close to the 78-year-old Aussie icon.

‘Even though their romance ended some time ago, they’ve continued to share a very close bond and spend a lot of time together.

Not just the two of them, but also with Linda’s new husband and the three of them have become firm friends,’ the insider spills.

Paul has previously struggled in Los Angeles.

When they were together, the couple would spend a lot of their time at their ranch in Santa Barbara, which he preferred to ‘fake’ LA, and where he had a much wider social circle.

‘He’s going to be incredibly lonely now that they are moving to Morocco. Paul doesn’t have a lot of friends in LA and finds it hard to get close to new people, so it’s affecting him a lot knowing that they will be gone,’ the source adds.

Last Tuesday, 60-year-old Linda’s three-bedroom, three-bathroom property in the beach town of Venice, was sold for $1,915,000 after she bought it for $1,465,000 just over three years ago with the proceeds of her divorce from Paul.

Only a couple of weeks before, Linda, along with Hafid, went to Miami Beach to say goodbye to some of her dearest friends – including Paul.

Paul made the trip out to the US East Coast, along with their 19-year-old son Chance, who he is worried will suffer from his mother’s move.

‘He’s concerned about the effect it will have on their boy.

Paul loves having Linda around, and the three of them spending time together – so it will leave a big hole in both their hearts.

‘Paul also loves having Linda around to help share the load with Chance. He’s a great boy, but has had his ups and downs over the years – and Linda’s been great for Paul through all those trials and tribulations.

‘Paul only wants great things for Linda and is excited about this new phase in her life, but he can’t help but feel down. It will take a lot of getting used to knowing that Linda isn’t around the corner anymore,’ the source continues.

It’s not known if Linda has now converted to Islam, but she’s changed her appearance and wears a veil, rather than her jogging pants and tees she usually wore around Venice.

The former actress will also have the chance to be a proper stepmother to Hafid’s three children – Insaf, Israa and Jad – by his former partner.

He’s barely seen them during his courtship of Linda, as they’re based in Marrakech, but now he’ll get to see them more often.

It was reported last December that Linda and Hafid had tied the knot after four years of dating.

Rather than be angry, Paul was delighted to welcome Hafid into the fold.

Paul has become close to the tour guide over the years, with Hafid regularly ‘babysitting’ Chance when the teen was going through a troublesome period in 2016 – and they’ve also enjoyed Christmases together.

The couple are said to be investing more time in their travel firm Dream My Destiny.

In February, Hafid conducted tours through the Sahara Desert, starting in Marrakech.

Previously, Hafid was a penniless tour guide and local assistant on movie sets.

Since he met Linda in 2013, they’ve been travelling the globe.

In interviews given recently, Linda has gushed at her new life with Hafid.

In one interview, she exclaimed: ‘One thing I always hated about acting was that it got in the way of having an adventurous life. You had to stick around LA and wait for work. Now I’m rejoicing in my freedom.’
