The 31-year-old businessman was involved in a car crash at Kingsgrove overnight, and reports allege no one was injured.

He was questioned at Campsie Police Station before being charged with two counts of breaching an apprehended violence order (AVO) and dangerous driving.

A witness claims he was awoken by the crash and heard an angry man threatening to hurt someone.

‘We got woken up to what was a collision on a roundabout. There was a guy being very aggressive in the car, cursing, swearing, wanting to – saying he was going to hurt somebody,’ the witness told 9News.

The controversial businessman was recently involved in another car crash in October, on his way to a court appearance, which sparked a police investigation.

Mr Mehajer is estranged from his wife, whom he married in a lavish wedding that caused controversy for the closure of a number of streets around his home.

Mr Mehajer was refused bail ahead of an appearance at Burwood Local Court later today.
