Sarah Ferguson and Prince Philip have been estranged ever since the breakdown of her married to Prince Andrew, but the two will go head-to-head next weekend at Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding.
According to a royal expert, the pair will attempt to hide their visibly strained relationship.
The Duchess of York’s relationship with her father-in-law broke down in 1992 after images emerged of her with billionaire John Bryan, in the now infamous “toe-sucking” scandal.

It’s been well documented that Prince Philip has struggled to “be in the same room” as Fergie since that scandal broke.
But royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk signs of their troubled relationship will “not show” when Philip and the duchess are forced to spend time together at Eugenie’s wedding on October 12.
Fitzwilliams told the UK publication, “Sarah remains estranged from the Duke of Edinburgh although this will obviously not show on Eugenie’s big day.”
Queen Elizabeth has reportedly managed to forgive the duchess and is still fond of her former daughter-in-law.
“For the last three consecutive years she has visited the Queen at Balmoral during the summer and she has also been accepted back into the fold at Royal Ascot,” Fitzwilliam said.
“The Queen has a tendresse for her especially as she is so fond of her granddaughters but the Duchess remains estranged from the Duke of Edinburgh.”

Previously, Fergie has spoken of how she “feared” Prince Philip.
Speaking in a recently unearthed 1997 clip of Fergie: Downfall of the Duchess, Allan Starkie, author of Fergie, Her Secret Life, said: “The person she was most afraid of in the Royal Family was Prince Philip.
“Earlier on in the marriage, he had told her ‘now you’re a member of the firm you can do anything you want, but you’ll always be found out.’
“And she was always frightened about that.”
