“Our population of 200 people, we’ve had suicides and to see 60 people from around Australia, (farmers) dressed up in their city clothes that were so country and for us to feed them was so emotional and I cried through the whole episode.”

The country Victorians say that no matter how far they go in the competition, they already have plans for what they want to do post-MKR.

“Our reason for going on the show is because we want our own show called Champagne Food On A Beer Budget.

“Because Mick’s a bush pilot we want to fly into farms and cook for farmers using their produce to give them a night off or teach them that they can make these meals and how to freeze portions so they have a week’s worth of food instead of a night.”
