‘Not a fan’: Fashion expert’s verdict on Meghan’s dress

Australian fashion stylist Donny Galella speaks out

She’s shown her penchant for stripes during her royal tour with Prince Harry – but according to one fashion expert, Meghan Markle – now the Duchess of Sussex – missed the mark with her latest choice.

Meghan stepped out on Oct. 26 in Tonga wearing a striped green and white dress by Australian designer Martin Grant. 

The ensemble – which retails for $1595 – featured a tie around the waist.

Meghan accessorised with a nude clutch bag and wore her dark hair slicked back in a ponytail.

“Not a huge fan of this look,” Australian fashion expert Donny Galella told New Idea.

“Every one of Meghan’s looks has been perfect so far but this just looks a little ill-fitting.

“I do appreciate her green pumps that match the colour of the stripe though.”

Social media also appeared unsure about the Duchess’ latest fashion offering, with one fan writing on the New Idea Royals Facebook page: “Not sure about that dress? But Meghan looks stunning!”
