Married At First Sight’s Cam confirms the show is staged

If we were going to believe anyone...

Married At First Sight viewers were left shocked and concerned when Cameron Merchant had a tearful breakdown on camera.

The former cricket pro – who has enjoyed an apparent fairytale romance with beauty businesswoman Jules Robinson on the social experiment – is widely regarded as the show’s resident level headed sweetheart, and fans were baffled about the cause of his emotional outburst.

And now Cam has cleared things up, telling MAFS‘ enthusiasts producers failed to show what really happened in the tearful scenes.

On a slightly lighter note, the sports star confirmed claims about his stunted growth saying: “I was 13, playing rugby, and I had a 90kg bloke coming at me.

“He snapped my leg in many plates – and my growth plates!”

Cam and Jules were the front runner favourites from the outset, and are widely believed to be the only TV couple to have lasted the distance outside filming.
