Things haven’t always been smooth sailing for Victorian parents Leigh and Kristie.
The young couple, who have two children together, admit they split up for a few months while living in Adelaide, where Leigh played AFL for the state league.
‘We broke up for a bit in Adelaide,’ Leigh, 33, confirms.
Kristie continues: ‘We were so young and we’d moved to a different state. Leigh joined up with the footy club, but I was a bit lost.
‘So I moved home and then we went our own ways for a little bit, but then always came back to each other.
‘We ended up having another go and I think then we both got our s*** together. We both grew up.’
