She’s one of Australia’s best known and most loved TV stars, and Sarah Roberts is putting her celebrity platform to good use by giving back to those in need.

The Home and Away actress and her co-star Courtney Miller visited a Salvation Army drug and alcohol recovery centre in Sydney last week.

The actresses were given a guided tour of the facility where they met with support workers.

The Salvation Army shared photos of the girls’ visit on Instagram, calling the experience a “meaningful day for everyone involved”.

Sarah’s charity outing comes after she stopped by the Thurley runway show with co-star and BFF Sam Frost at Melbourne Fashion Week last Wednesday.

Taking to Instagram, the Summer Bay staples posed for a sweet selfie before taking their seats at the show.

“Love this beauty so much,” Sam – who plays Jasmine Delaney in the long running Channel 7 soap – captioned the photo.

Sarah, 31 – who plays the role of Willow Harris – also shared a stunning shot of the friends laughing at Carriageworks along with the caption: “She got good jokes.”

Last December, Sarah announced her engagement to Home and Away co-star James ‘Jimmy’ Stewart (Justin Morgan on the series).

James popped the question on November 30 at their favourite Italian restaurant where they had their first date.

“Sarah’s birthday is Dec. 4, but I wanted to make it a surprise” James, 43, explains.

“Some good friends said, ‘keep it simple’. So, I was sitting in this Italian restaurant and I was sweating, but I kept it simple – which made it more real.”
