MasterChef lovebirds Declan Cleary and Sarah Todd have been making headlines ever since they revealed they’re officially together, after cooking up a relationship on the show.
And while it seems that the entire nation has given the couple the big tick of approval, Declan’s mum Samantha has revealed she also thinks they’re the perfect pair.
“My beautiful boy. I am glad you and Sarah have found each other,” the proud mum commented on a picture of the duo on Instagram.
“I couldn’t be happier as you deserve the world.”
Samantha then went on to reveal that she has also spent time with Sarah’s teenage son, Phoenix, 14, and “adores” him.
“….awww thank you Sammy, very blessed,” Sarah responded.
Meanwhile, Declan couldn’t be happier that his mum and Sarah are hitting it off and getting along.
“Thanks mum love you lots,” the smitten 27-year-old added.
The former Sydneysider, who now calls Melbourne home, is very close with his mother.
In 2023, Declan opened up about their bond, and told our sister publication TV WEEK that he would not have been able to compete on MasterChef without her support.
“Family is everything to me,” he said.
And during his most recent stint in the kitchen, Samantha took on an important role behind the scenes – looking after her son’s best mate, his dog, Sol.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Declan recently shared a few snaps of his mum saying an emotional goodbye to Sol following his elimination from the competition.
“Love having my boy back with me,” Declan wrote. “For everyone asking I was very lucky to have mum look after him whilst filming MasterChef. The goodbye was hard for her. Love you mum.”
