This morning on Nova 96.9, host Fitzy revealed that fans of Channel Ten show The Masked Singer are convinced that the former AFL star is the man behind the prawn suit.
Addressing the rumours, co-host Wippa goes through the clues live on-air in an attempt to get to the bottom of the rumour, with all three clues seemingly fitting Fitzy’s description perfectly.
“Let’s go and have a listen to some of the other clues because the prawn – and you don’t want to give it away and Fitzy’s got such a distinct Aussie accent – they have to change the voice,” Wippa speculates, before playing the first clue.

The first clue to be played is: “It’s no surprise to find me at the big occasions”.
As Wippa rightly points out, Fitzy has attended Coachella and the ARIA’s, exclaiming: “You’re the big event guy, the big event prawn!”
“I famously spent a lot of time around the house,” says the second clue, which could be a reference to Fitzy’s time in the Big Brother House.
“Now that was the one that’s gone into meltdown”, Fitzy admits, before the crew go into playing the third clue.
“I like most types of music which has come in very handy in the past”.
As the hosts of Nova 96.9 point out, Fitzy is a big music fan with a very eclectic taste, and has even stated: “I own about 400 band T-shirts”,
Adding fuel to the fire, is that Wippa admitted Channel Ten producers had already looked towards the Nova studio, asking Wippa if he would like to be a contestant on the show which he revealed he turned down.
Naturally, Fitzy has denied the rumours, saying: “Can I just tell everyone who’s tweeting me at the moment, ‘You guys think you’re so smart?’.
“I watched the first 5 minutes; a prawn walked out and went ‘I like sports!’ and tried to dance. I haven’t watched it since”.
This seems like a clever red herring to us.
