These teasers for the new book, titled Dropping the Mask, have given rise to speculation that the former A Place to Call Home actress is set to lift the lid on her marriage to ex-husband John Jarratt.

Noni, who turns 71 this month, and John were married from 1987 to 1999 and share two sons William and Charlie. The former couple also presented Better Homes and Gardens together in the ’90s.

Noni has always been fiercely private about her personal life and hasn’t previously spoken in depth about the breakdown of her marriage to John, 72.

However, the popular Play School presenter did offer rare hint in 2015.

“When I was 35, I married John and we had two beautiful boys,” Noni told Sunday Life. “We did Better Homes and Gardens together for five years, which was based around our family life. But ultimately, two actors together wasn’t the greatest combination and sadly we split up, but with the beautiful legacy of our sons.”

The memoir has sparked speculation she might finally be ready to tell all.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Noni wrote on Instagram while announcing the book news. “Very excited!”

Meanwhile, Wolf Creek actor John has previously shared that he and Noni simply grew apart.

“It went well. We had a great relationship. And just like every other relationship that falls apart, we grew in different directions and the differences became too much to sustain happiness,” John told Australian Story in 2005. “So, like most marriages, it ran out of time and we moved on.”

Noni will also no doubt have many stories to share from her career, which she once described to New Idea as being “long and varied”.

“I’ve been really lucky … I credit my parents who taught me very early that it’s not about fame and fortune, it’s about being prepared, doing your work as well as you possibly can, and to always keep learning,” Noni said.
