US report: Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden ‘are adopting’

The star couple are finally making all their dreams come true

One of Hollywood’s most popular couples have new reason to smile, with Cameron Diaz, 45, and Benji Madden, 38, announcing to friends that they are going to adopt a baby, according to a report out of the US today.

After reportedly trying for more than a year to have a baby the conventional way, the star couple are now looking to bring a child into their lives via adoption, according to a detailed report this morning in American publication Life & Style. The couple are said to have ‘started the process’ and can’t contain their joy.

‘They want to adopt from within the US and are counting the days,’ a source told the publication. ‘Cameron is very hopeful.

‘Though they are fulfilled in every way, they feel this would complete their family.’

With the couple’s third anniversary approaching on January 5, the timing couldn’t be better – with everything now falling into place.

‘Cameron feels like the timing is right,’ reports Life & Style‘s informant. ‘She’s been asking friends about adoption and reading parenting books. It’s taking time and they have to be patient, but they are both bursting with excitement.’

The duo have their hearts set on a newborn baby and would ideally like a boy, according to the report. Benji’s brother Joel and his wife Nicole Richie are already being earmarked as godfather and godmother, as the the couple ‘love their parenting style and trust them completely.’

Now the couple ‘can’t wait for that special day when they bring their baby home.’
