Max Purcell is the new Aussie tennis star to watch during the upcoming summer of tennis.
Professional tennis player Max Purcell is taking Australia by storm as he has smashed expectations this season and now prepares to compete in the 2024 Australian Open. But what do we know about the young athlete?

How old is Max Purcell?
At only 25 years old – born April 3, 1998 – Max has career-high doubles ranking number 25 and ranks 40th in singles.
Max, nicknamed Cep, started playing tennis at age three with his siblings. He idolises former Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer.
Max has been playing professionally since 2016, but this year he has certainly become the Aussie athlete to watch after initially ranking 220 in the beginning of 2023 until skyrocketing to number 70. Now, he has finished the year as the world No. 45.
So far, the biggest defeat of his career was beating World No.7 Casper Rudd in the second round of the Cincinnati Open in August this year.
According to the ATP Tour website, the Sydney-born tennis player has made more than US$2.8 million (about AU$4.2 million) in prize money from both singles and doubles.
Max has rocketed up the ATP singles rankings over the year and is primed for a strong start to 2024.
It has been confirmed that Max will compete in both the Brisbane International and Australia Open.
Does Max Purcell have a girlfriend?
As for Max’s personal life, his Instagram reinforces his obsession with tennis as his entire feed features shots of him swinging the tennis racket or standing next to an impressive award.
Other than his career, Max shares rare glimpses into his personal life including photos with his girlfriend, Chloe Deith.
Chloe first appeared on Max’s Instagram page in April 2021 and Max was first posted to Chloe’s page in March 2021, however, it’s unclear how long the pair have been dating.
We get a bit of insight into Chloe’s life through an Instagram caption by Max where he wrote, “Managed to snag a few pics with the famous artist & marine biologist @chloedeith #Yearmade.”
Chloe resides in Sydney, Australia, and graduated from Asquith Girls High School. She is currently studying at the University of Technology Sydney and working as a Social Media and Customer Service Manager.
