And Just Like That, the reboot of the award-winning series Sex and the City, is back for Season 2! The second season of And Just Like That premiered with its first episode on Binge on June 22, 2023.

Returning for And Just Like That Season 2 are Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, reprising their Sex and the City roles Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York.
And, unlike Season 1 of And Just Like That, Kim Cattrall (who played the iconic Samatha Jones in the original series) will make an appearance!
The new season also sees the return of John Corbett, who played Aiden in the OG Sex and the City. Aiden and Carrie are once again in a relationship now that (spoiler!) Mr Big is dead.

Chris Noth, who plays Mr Big, appeared in Season 1 of And Just Like That while John Corbett, who plays Aiden Shaw, appears in Season 2 of And Just Like That.
Will Samantha (Kim Cattrall) appear in And Just Like That?
Kim Cattrall, who was in every episode of Sex and the City and in the two films as Samantha Jones, is not in And Just Like That Season 1 but she is set to appear in one scene in Season 2.
According to Variety, Samantha will appear in one scene which was shot on March 22, 2023. Sources say Kim filmed the scene without having any physical contact with Sarah Jessica Parker or And Just Like That showrunner Michael Patrick King though; likely because of her very public falling out with SJP and the rest of the Sex and the City cast and crew.
It’s also likely that the scene in question will just show Samantha talking on the phone to Carrie; in Season 1, Carrie regularly texted Samantha who – to explain Kim’s absence – had moved from New York to London.
A spokesperson for HBO and Max confirmed this to Page Six when stating, “The offer presented to Kim was always to be a phone call, shot alone as most calls would be. This was an easy and convenient way for Samantha to return. We are delighted it worked out.”
Creator and writer of the Sex And The City franchise Candance Bushnell also told the outlet, “I love Kim, everyone loves Kim… I’m sure she got paid handsomely … Kim is a grown woman and she does things on her own terms.”
The publication also affirmed that Cattrall’s appearance did not come without some serious negotiations. Reportedly, the actress refused to film with former co-stars SJP, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis as well as Michael Patrick King.
“Kim had two stipulations -—one, that she would not act with any of the other girls, and two, she did not want to see Michael Patrick King,” their source said.
“They still need her on the show. But even though this may get fans thinking she’ll be back for the next season, she’ll never do that. She was treated poorly,” the source continued.
Despite their ongoing feud, Sarah Jessica Parker said Kim Cattrall’s surprise cameo was a “nice idea.”
“It just feels normal and really nice, and I’m glad that we could manage it and work it out and get it sorted time-wise and schedule-wise,” Sarah told Entertainment Weekly.
Co-star Kristin Davis also revealed to the outlet how Samantha’s return was “right for the fans.”
“The fans miss Samantha. The fans love Samantha. Samantha’s a fantastic character,” she said.
