According to a sensational report by Us publication The Star, Tom Cruise is prepared to leave his beloved, controversial religion, Scientology, for his 11-year-old daughter Suri.
The Hollywood A-lister, who has long been an advocate for the Church of Scientology, was MIA for the grand opening of a new super-centre in San Diego, leaving many to believe that the once devoted star is at war with church leaders.
An insider explosively told Star, ‘Tom is the fiercest Scientologist on the planet, but it’s beyond heartbreaking to be forced to cut ties with your child.’
Since his sudden split from actress Katie Holmes in 2012, Cruise has not seen his daughter due the secretive cult’s alleged doctrine that requires members to ‘disconnect’ from family and friends who defect from the religion, The Star claims.
‘Tom has reached the breaking point, and something has to give,’ the inside spilled to the publication. ‘If he wants her back, he’ll have to walk away from the church, which has been a huge part of his life.’

The Star’s bombshell report reveals that leaving the controversial faith comes with serious dangers for the star. Defectors sensationally claimed to the publication that if Cruise were to leave he would be ‘harassed, hounded, slandered and sued’ by the church.
