The Project panel have slammed Peter Stefanovic after he stumbled over his words while hosting Weekend Today.
After showing a short video of Peter stumbling over his words during a segment on the breakfast program, panelist Tommy Little asked: ‘Drunk or not drunk?’
‘I’m going to go to our expert on the panel, Lisa,’ he joked, referring to co-host Lisa Wilkinson who presented the Today show alongside Peter’s brother, Karl, for ten years.
‘I can usually recognise a drunk Stefanovic,’ Lisa laughed, adding: ‘I’ve got years and years of practice.’
The panel decided to play another clip from Peter’s weekend gig, and after it finished an unimpressed Lisa claims: ‘It’s not looking good.’
She then brought up the infamous 2009 post-Logies episode of the Today Show, which she hosted alongside Karl who was seemingly under the influence of alcohol.
‘That famous post-Logies show, Karl said to me 73 times that I was beautiful, that is NOT proof in itself that he was drunk!’ Lisa joked.
As the segment came to its conclusion, Lisa and Tommy were sure to defend the younger Stefanovic.
‘Of course, Pete, not drunk!’ Tommy stated.
‘Nah, he’s a professional,’ added Lisa.
