In episode nine of The Bachelor front-runner Brooke feels compelled to confess a big secret, which leaves Nick questioning if she’s still attracted to him
After being grilled by an ex FBI agent on the group date at the cocktail party the 23-year-old decides it’s time to let Nick know something about her past.
Speaking to WHO, Brooke says: ‘I was like, ‘I need to tell him. I want to be with someone who fully accepts me for who I am’.’
‘I felt pressure to come out – with the girls wanting me to tell Nick, but I wanted to tell him in my own time.’
Brooke’s relationship history includes dating a guy for three years, and then she ‘seriously’ dated a woman.
‘It got pretty serious in one relationship,’ she tells WHO. ‘We lived together for six months and we were together for a year.’
Although the Wallabies player was understanding, previous boys who dated the brunette were intimidated by her sexual fluidity.
‘There’s always been a concern, because I don’t just like guys. I’ve dated insecure guys.’
During the episode, Brook takes Nick aside at the cocktail party to tell him her ‘big secret.’
‘It’s something big and something you should know…. I’ve had four relationships,’ Brooke begins. ‘… one with a guy…but I’ve also had two relationships with women,’ she confesses.
The youth worker then talks about falling in love with people rather than gender. ‘I’m not bisexual or lesbian…’ Brooke continues.
Nick takes the news pretty well and quickly makes Brooke feel at ease with her confession.
‘I’m so you feel comfortable enough to share that with me.’ Nick says.
But there is something concerning him nonetheless. Who is Brooke more attracted to? Is it men or women? Nick needs to know and he’s pressing her to answer.
‘I feel more sexually attracted to men,’ says Brooke leaving Nick suitably relieved with her answer.
‘Good on her. I’m not one to judge.’ Nick later tells the camera. And all is well between Nick and Brooke, despite her having relationships with not just one but TWO women.
In fact, villain Romy later hinted to a weekly magazine that Brooke and sexually fluid Jamie-Lee also had a little frisson in the mansion. ‘It’s something that happened more so after I left, but I heard that some of the girls formed a really close friendship,’ says eliminated ‘villain’.
‘I have heard there’s a vibe going on.’
But despite Romy’s confession, it’s well known that Brooke is likely to make the final four along with other front-runners Brittany, Sophie and Cass with photos of her leaking of the hometown dates in Perth.
Nick also confessed that it’s a brunette that he ends up with and so far, Brooke has been the favourite with the family with her winning over his sister Bernadette’s heart.
