According to The Daily Telegraph, former The Today Show host Sylvia said her husband won’t be going to the event as he starts his new job as on Sky News the following morning.

“He’s not coming this year because he’ll be up at 3am the next morning starting his new role,” she told the publication.

Peter announced he’ll make his TV comeback last month in a new role as co-host of First Edition alongside Laura Jayes.

“I’m excited. Thrilled about it, actually,” Peter said, speaking to News Corp.

“It’s a great challenge, a wonderful opportunity and a fantastic privilege to be asked to be part of the Sky News team.”

The former Channel Nine foreign correspondent left the network in December amid rumours of an imminent axing after a conversation where he was overheard by an Uber driver whinging about the network and his colleagues with his brother, Karl Stefanovic, was leaked.

While Sylvia may be going solo on this year’s Logies red carpet, there’s plenty to get excited about as the race for the Gold Logie heats up.

And with Grant Denyer calling out Tom Gleeson and Sam Mac for their shock campaigns and not taking the award seriously, and half the Married At First Sight cast expected to attend (while others were snubbed!), Australian TV’s night of night’s is sure to be celeb packed and drama filled.
