Roseanne Barr may have by far the biggest-rating sitcom in the US right now, but what she doesn’t have is peace with her ex-husband, former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star Tom Arnold.

Her bitterly estranged other half – who also costarred on Roseanne back during its original run – has lashed out at the star on Twitter – resulting in Roseanne’s daughter lashing back with some pretty heavy accusations of her own.

‘Roseanne Barr should do (an episode) about the lies & cruelty she & Donald Trump represent,’ 59-year-old Tom tweeted, before referencing a number of controversial allegations about the Trump administration, and some bizarre claims that he says Roseanne has tweeted about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the past.

Roseanne is famously a supporter of Donald Trump, both on and off screen.

Tom also retweeted a New York Times headline, which read, ‘The Roseanne Reboot Is Funny. I’m Not Going to Keep Watching.’

The couple married in 1990, but they split in 1994, with Roseanne firing him from the show.

Roseanne’s daughter Jenny Pentland wasn’t taking it laying down, taking her former stepfather to task on Twitter with allegations about his supposed behaviour during his tumultuous relationship with her mother.

Tom lashed right back, accusing Jenny of allowing her mother’s alleged emotional history to be used as a shield to protect her from any criticism.

The former I’m A Celeb star then suggested that she should get her mother off the Internet, where she has recently been discussing highly controversial political conspiracy theories, including the QAnon theory

Roseanne herself has yet to directly enter the fray. Recently appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, Roseanne was asked about the fact that the Hollywood Reporter had commissioned Tom to write a review of her rebooted sitcom. Revealing she’s ‘not supposed’ to talk about Tom, Roseanne added, ‘I guess they’re going to get Harvey Weinstein to review Rose McGowan’s next show.’

Showing that she’s definitely lost none of her sharp humour, Roseanne reacted to Wendy’s merciless pushing on the matter of her marriage by seeming to reference recent rumours about the state of Wendy’s marriage, responding, ‘I don’t like talking about husbands… right Wendy?’
