American singer Pink has hit back at critics who blasted a recent social media photo of her children Willow Sage, 8, and Jameson Moon, 2, running playfully through a Holocaust Memorial in Berlin.
After sharing the sweet shot to Instagram, the Beautiful Trauma songstress was slammed by online trolls for being “disrespectful” to the six million Jews who were murdered by the Nazi regime.

Pink, who shares Willow and Jameson with her motocross pro husband Carey Hart, amended the photo caption to address the negative comments.
“Berlin, I love you,” she began, adding the hashtags #holocaustmemorial #panamarestaurant #cocktailclasses #history #herstory #worldtour.
“And for all the comments; these two children are in actuality Jewish, as am I and the entirety of my mother’s family.”
“The very person who constructed this [memorial] believed in children being children, and to me this is a celebration of life after death.
“Please keep your hatred and judgment to yourselves.”
The Code of Jewish Law states that a child of a Jewish mother is Jewish, regardless of the father’s heritage.
Pink’s mother Judith Kugel is Jewish, of Lithuanian Jewish and German Jewish descent.

News.com.au suggests Pink’s remark about “children being children” was likely in reference to the words of New York architect Peter Eiseman who helped design the Berlin memorial.
In an interview with the BBC in 2017, Mr Eisenman said: “People have been jumping around on those pillars forever. They’ve been sunbathing, they’ve been having lunch there, and I think that’s fine. It’s like a Catholic Church, it’s a meeting place, children run around, they sell trinkets.
“A memorial is an everyday occurrence, it is not a sacred ground.”
Pink received a slew of supportive feedback from fans and fellow celebrities, with American actress Selma Blair commenting: “I love Berlin too. I love that what happened is not being forgotten. I love this celebration of life. I love you.”
One woman wrote: “When i was little my parents took me to ‘Westerbork’, a museum that used to be a horrible place during wwII. I was running and singing around and my mother tried to stop me… until an old man said: Please let her joy fill this place. I survived this place, please let your daughter celebrate her freedom this way. I never forgot… ❤️”
