As high-profile divorces go, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s 2001 split was major league and splashed across front pages the world over.

Lucky for Nicole, 51, she had good friends to lean on – including Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furnish.

“When I got divorced, Hugh and Deb were so much a part of my healing,” Nicole told Australian Women’s Weekly.

She spoke of their friendship and how Hugh, 50, and Deborra-Lee, 63, were there for her when she needed them most.

“They were some of my best friends through that period,” she told the publication.

Tom and Nicole met on the set of Days of Thunder and married in 1990, and quickly became Hollywood’s star couple.

During their time together, Nicole’s career took second place to Tom, who was one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood.

After struggling to start a family, they ended up adopting Isabella, now 26, and Connor, now 24, together.

Since parting ways with Tom, Nicole has gone on to tie the knot with Keith Urban in 2006. The pair share daughters Faith Margaret, 8, and Sunday Rose, 10, together.

In a rare interview last month, the mum-of-four spoke of her children with Tom.

“Bella lives just outside London,” the Big Little Lies star told Vanity Fair.

“You know, she really feels more English. We lived there for Eyes Wide ShutMission Impossible, and The Portrait of a Lady. They both had English accents when they were little.”

As for Connor, Kidman said that lives in Miami and is in music.

Nicole last spoke about her children with Tom to WHO in November 2018.

“I’m very private about [them],” she told WHO.

“I have to protect those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is. They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
