The actress, whose health has insiders worried, looked distressed as the crew rushed to her side on the New York set.
Nicole’s “dramatic” fall on the set of The Undoing has her friends and husband Keith concerned she’s pushing herself too hard.
Cameramen rushed to the scene as the actress fell to the ground on the New York set, possibly from exhaustion.
Last week, images emerged of the mother of four looking painfully thin and gaunt, and sources close to the star voiced their concerns.
“Everyone is very worried about Nicole,” a source tells New Idea.
“She’s been pushing herself so hard recently – working so much with back-to-back movies, TV series, and never takes a break in between.
“It’s obvious that she’s lost weight recently and with her hectic schedule, it’s no surprise that it all became too much for her and she collapsed on set,” they continue. “It was very dramatic and only lasted a few seconds, but obviously everyone was very concerned.”
The actress is currently juggling work on the HBO series The Undoing and the premieres of two upcoming movies, The Goldfinch and Fair and Balanced.
Husband Keith Urban is also said to be worried for his wife’s wellbeing as the 51-year-old has a tendency to take on too much.
“Keith is at his wit’s end, as well, with worry. Ever since Nicole turned 50, she’s been doing even more because she’s worried work will dry up. She’s getting paranoid and is pushing herself harder than ever.
“Keith keeps trying to get her to slow down – he hates seeing her like this.”
Other sources claim that the star’s weight loss is due to the fact she hardly eats as she’s working so hard.
“Her friends say she needs to slow down and take better care of herself, because she forgets to eat,” an insider told Us Weekly.
“The stress of juggling so many projects is clearly taking a toll. And she tries to blow off the rumours of her marriage to Keith being in trouble, but how can that not add to the stress?” a source claimed.
According to the insider, Nicole “clearly looks too skinny”. “She’ll put the weight back on, but her friends and colleagues do worry,” the insider added.
Another stress adding to Nicole’s life is the fact that her ex Tom Cruise has banned her from attending their adopted son Connor’s upcoming wedding, which would no doubt break her heart.
“Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor’s wedding because she’s considered a ‘suppressive person’ by the church – and, second, he doesn’t want her there,” an insider told Radar. “Tom turned his back on Nicole a long time ago and he’s never looked back.
“Connor worships the ground his father walks on and would never disobey Tom,” added the source.
