Fans are worried for Neighbours star Jodi Anasta after she was spotted looking worn out and weary at Sydney airport on Saturday.

Last month, the TV favourite took time out from her role as Elly Conway on the show after suffering from exhaustion, and fans are concerned the star may still be pushing herself too hard.

In the snaps, the 34-year-old star was pictured as she was about to board a flight to Melbourne, where she lives while she films the Australian soap.

Dressed in a faux-fur coat, she looked upset and anguished as she made her way to the plane.

According to Daily Mail, the mother-of-one was seen putting her hand to her head in what appeared to be a moment of frustration, and was also spotted leaning against a wall as she waited to board her flight.

Jodi, who is mum to daughter Aleeia, five, who she shares with ex-husband Braith Anasta, took time off from the soap last month.

“Jodi is taking some time out to rest, we look forward to having her back out on set soon,” said a Channel Ten spokesperson at the time.

Jodi’s manager Sean Anderson also confirmed the news: “She’s just having a rest. She’s exhausted so she’s taking three weeks off.”

“She’s living between two cities, she’s also a single mum and there are challenges that come with it.”

The actress, who has played Elly Conway since 2016 on the long-running soap, took the time out to rest with family, and made her return to set on July 5

“Great day back on set today with my Neighbours family 💋✌🏼” Jodi shared with her Instagram followers.

Speaking to 9Honey about her break from the show, Jodi confessed that she’d been “trying to push through”, and explained that the commute between her home in Sydney and the Melbourne set had left her “exhausted”.

“I was trying to push through, but everything builds and then you realise how exhausted you are and crumble a little bit,” she told the publication.

“I am in Melbourne four days a week and in Sydney three days every week, and it’s usually 12-hour days on set, so really huge days,” she explained.

Jodi told 9Honey that she’s much more in tune with her body since suffering exhaustion, and can recognise the signs before she gets too sick.

“It’s about really acknowledging where I am at physically and mentally, just sitting with myself and understanding when I don’t feel right or feel overwhelmed,” she said.

“Otherwise I go into autopilot and all of a sudden I’m not stopping for a minute to realise I’m not doing too well.

“The main thing is to take some time out.”
