Tracey Jewel: ‘Dean reached out to me’

The former couple are back in touch after her overdose.

Married At First Sight’s Tracey Jewel has revealed her ex-husband from the series, Dean Wells, has reached out to her following her overdose in Europe.

The 35-year-old author recently made headlines after news emerged that she had been left stranded in Europe after her vacation with her ex-boyfriend Patrick Kedemos was cut short.

Following the news, Tracey became a target of online bullies, who called her out for being a “golddigger” among other cruel taunts.

In a moment of desperation, Tracey shared an Instagram post in which she blamed the trolls for ruining her life.

“You’ve won trolls. I give up. You’ve ruined my life. You’ve involved my friends, family, clients and sponsors. I have lost everything because of your relentless hate. Hope you’re happy you’ve claimed another one,” she wrote.

Her ex TV-husband Dean Wells got in touch with Tracey out of concern.

“In my despair, I put something on my Instagram saying ‘I’m done, the trolls have won’ and it’s been amazing the support I’ve received from Dean, from the show. He’s been such a support for me,” Tracey told WHO exclusively.

“He’s [reached out] and he’s text a few times and publically messaged saying for people to leave me alone. He’s been amazing.”

The MAFS alum also revealed she had received support from her fellow castmates, Gabriele and Rosa.

“Gabrielle and Sarah Rosa I’ve remained close to from the show. They’ve been really supportive too,” she shared.

“I don’t like burdening people with my problems but it’s nice to know that they’re there if I need to speak to them.”

Earlier this week, the mum-of-one revealed she had been admitted to a mental health clinic after overdosing on sleeping pills while stranded in Berlin.

“I went into a head spin,” the tearful star told New Idea in an exclusive interview. “I just didn’t see a way out of the current situation.”

“I’ve been bullied and cyber-trolled relentlessly, pretty much all year,” she explains.

“I’m not someone who has a history of depression, but I started getting help in April because the psychologist said I might have post-traumatic stress disorder because of everything I’d been through.”
