Lisa Wilkinson has finally addressed the reason why she abruptly left popular morning program, Today.
While it appears seemingly everyone had an opinion on the circumstances behind the sensational hosts move, Lisa simply tells news.com.au: ‘You can see that women have had enough.
‘…the gender pay gap, domestic violence, homelessness is on a huge rise in this country, particularly for women over 50.’
The former Today show host said she believes women are beginning to feel ‘the wind behind them’ off the back of power moves, exacting like her own.
Lisa is gearing up to begin a new hosting gig at Network Ten on the popular news program, The Project.
Meanwhile, her old chair beside Karl on The Today Show is reportedly set to be filled by Georgie Gardner, Confidential reported on Sunday.
The publication claimed that the appointment is ‘close’ to being made public – despite the 46-year-old allegedly previously declining the role.
