Larry Emdur has taken to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to his late father.
The 53-year-old Morning Show host shared a throwback of his dad, which looked to be taken in the 1950s and showed him with his hair slicked back wearing sunglasses.
The TV host wrote at length in the caption: “Dear God, if you’re in the lounge tonight please keep an eye out for my dad.
“He’ll be sipping a Southern Comfort with a splash of Coke. He’ll be the friendliest and happiest guy in the room, keeping everyone entertained with his eternal sense of humour and charming everyone with those ever-smiling eyes and cheeky smile.
“Please tell him we wish he never smoked, we miss him everyday and we wish that he was still here with us.
“Please tell him he’s missing some incredible stuff with his grandkids and great grandchild. Oh and please tell him even though it’s 14 years today we still love him and will forever”.
Larry went on to warn his fans about the dangers of smoking, adding hashtags featuring the words “don’t smoke” and “smoking kills”.
Earlier in the week Larry took to the social media platform to share a throwback picture of himself.
“Don’t know what happened to my freckles, but wish they were still there,” Larry wrote in the caption.
The father-of-two has co-hosted The Morning Show with Kylie Gillies for the last decade.
