Larry Emdur has taken a moment on The Morning Show to give his mum a hearty shout out.
The breakfast host paused his regular segment with Kylie Gillies by his side to reveal that his dear mother Faye was in hospital.
“The queen of the Edmur family, my mum Faye is in hospital,” he told viewers, explaining, “She had a little fall.”
“She texted me this morning and said, ‘Now I’m forced to watch your show.’”
Smiling in a photo she sent to her son, it was clear that Faye was doing fine.
And her humour certainly didn’t get injured in the accident with the host saying, “She wouldn’t normally. She’d be out walking on the beach. But today she is watching!”
He continued, “Mum I hope you’re ok. I know you told the doctors you had a fall when coming out of the car but the reality is that it’s from smacking me when I didn’t clean up my room.”
Gillies also sent her regards, saying, “Rest up Faye! Larry has told me he’s willing to cook entrée, main meal, dessert for the next 4-6 month.”
Her side-kick quickly jumped in, joking, “When I say me I mean Donna Hay. Get well mum!”
He went on to say, “Thanks everyone at Prince of Wales for looking after my mum.”
