Look out Kylie Jenner, one of your sisters is coming for your billionaire title!

This week, Kim Kardashian‘s Skims shapewear brand earned $2million within minutes of launching.

Sources told The Daily Mail that first-day sales for size-inclusive solutionwear range exceeded those reached by established undergarment brands.

The publication reported that Spanx made $4milllion over the course of a year, while Skims reached approximately half of that amount on the first day.

The reality tv star’s range of undergarments reportedly sold out within moments of it going on sale.

According to TMZ, the website Skims.com crashed due to the large traffic it received before the shapewear line even launched.

The 38-year-old announced her new shapewear line in late June by sharing campaign photos shot by performance artist Vanessa Beecroft on social media, calling the range “take on shapewear” and plugging its inclusivity with sizes XXS through XXXXL in nine different skin tones.

Originally the wife of rapper Kanye West named the range Kimono Solutionwear but was immediately slammed on social media for cultural appropriation.

Japanese woman Yuka Ohishi told the BBC in July: “We wear kimonos to celebrate health, growth of children, engagements, marriages, graduations, at funerals.

“It’s celebratory wear and passed on in families through generations.

“[Kim’s] shapewear doesn’t even resemble a kimono – she just chose a word that has Kim in it – there’s no respect to what the garment actually means in Japanese culture.”

A week later, the KKW beauty founder backtracked on the Kimono name in a tweet, saying she would choose a new brand name after “listening, learning and growing” from feedback from fans.
