Kyle Sandilands has revealed that Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardner refuse to appear on the Kyle & Jackie O Show to discuss the Ubergate scandal.
On Thursday, Kyle Sandilands halted the popular breakfast program to ask his producers why nobody had booked the Today hosts to come on air.
When a KIIS staffer claimed they had, but the pair ‘politely declined.’
‘I have asked for them to come on the show, they’ve politely declined for now,’ the staffer revealed.
Kyle then rang Karl’s number live on air, joking: ‘Come on Karl, pick up, you little gutless wonder.’
‘Why?’ Kyle further probed his producers, ‘That’s what Channel Nine do, they stick their head in the sand!’
‘Tell them: “No! Not good enough, they have to come on together,’ he added.
The staffer replied: ‘He’s gotten all your messages, he does want to come on, just not right now.’
The Ubergate scandal exploded after entertainment reporter Peter Ford claimed an Uber driver had secretly recorded Peter and Karl rudely discussing Georgie Gardner during a phone conversation in his vehicle.
