Justin Timberlake has not so subtly slammed his ex girlfriend Britney Spears after stating Las Vegas residencies are just “a retirement plan.’
His shock outburst comes just days after Britney signed a mega-bucks deal to return to the entertainment capital.
Speaking to British presenter Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Justin was asked if he’s ever consider a Vegas residency.
“I mean I wouldn’t rule it out if it was something that was different. I definitely don’t, you know, it feels like…” Justin started.
“Like a retirement option?” Zane interjected, before Justin agreed.
“You’re planning your retirement. You know what I mean? So for some reason that feels like scary to me.”
Britney held a record-breaking residency at the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas with her Piece of Me show.
The show ran for four years and came to a close on New Year’s Eve , however the 36 year old popstar has reportedly signed up for a second run, rumoured to be starting in 2019.
“They made the offer and she just couldn’t refuse. She loves Vegas!” a source told US Weekly.
Justin, 36 is set to perform at the he Super Bowl later this year after recently launching a comeback with new track Filthy.
