The road to parenthood has been anything smooth for Tori (Penny McNamee).
However, another hurdle is looming – and it’s one that could be truly devastating.

In this week’s must-see episodes, the much-loved Summer Bay doctor and her baby’s father Robbo (Jake Ryan) receive shock news during a repeat 20-week ultrasound.
While her unborn child – who we discover is a girl – appears healthy, Tori is told she has a condition that places her at high risk of going into premature labour.
And if that should happen, the doctor tells a distraught Tori and Robbo, there’s every chance the baby will not survive.
“This is what Robbo’s been so scared about all along,” says Jake.
“Tragedy just seems to follow him wherever he goes.”
Indeed, both Tori and Robbo are shell-shocked by this latest development, with Robbo taking off from the hospital leaving his fianceé Jasmine (Sam Frost) fearing that he’s once again done a runner from the Bay.
“When you run away and leave the girls high and dry like Robbo’s done in the past, you can’t blame Jas for thinking this,” says Jake.
“But Robbo doesn’t cope with things and tends to go into fight-or-flight mode. He really has gone through a huge amount in his life already.”
But, unbeknown to Jasmine, Robbo has instead made a beeline for his counsellor’s office.
This time, it seems, Robbo has decided to seek professional advice and support in his time of need.
“I think this is a really good growth moment for Robbo,” says Jake.
“The fact that he’s now getting help shows that he’s stopping to think about what he needs to do to cope.”
Meanwhile, the most important question remains: is tragedy on the cards for the anguished parents-to-be?
